Your privacy is important to us
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We will use your personal information only for the purposes that you would expect – to provide you with the Oris4 service – and will only disclose it with your permission or if we are legally obliged to.
Why we collect personal information
We collect your personal information because it is necessary to provide you with the service and because it helps us deliver a superior level of customer service.
What information we collect and how we may use it
There are a number of situations in which your personal information may help us give you better products. For example:
We may ask for your personal information when you’re discussing a service issue on the phone with Oris4, registering for additional services, participating in an online survey.
When you interact with Oris4, we may collect personal information relevant to the situation, such as your name, email address, and contact preferences.
We also collect information for market research purposes — such as how you use our service — to gain a better understanding of our customers and thus provide more valuable service. This is completely internal and we do not sell this information to anyone.
For users who are not logged in using an Oris4 account, we collect anonymous information regarding activities on our websites. This helps us to determine how best to provide useful information to customers and to understand which parts of our websites and services are of most interest to them.
We may use personal information to provide services that you have requested as well as for auditing, research, and analysis to improve Oris4’s services.
In the course of using the Oris4 services, you may input or otherwise upload to the system personal information about other people. You agree that you will only do so in compliance with all laws that are applicable to that personal information.
As part of providing the service, we may also collect personal information that is publicly available on the internet and match that information against information you have uploaded.
Your Oris4 ID and related information
The Oris4 service allows you to create an “Oris4 ID” to log in to use the service. This convenient service saves you time and allows for easier use of our web services. Here’s how it works: You create a personal profile — providing your name, email address, and in some cases information about your preferences — and choose a password. The system saves your information and assigns you a personal Oris4 ID — in many cases simply your email address, because it’s unique and easy to remember. The next time you wish to use the Service, all you need to do is enter your Oris4 ID and password; the system looks up the information it needs to provide you with the service.
Publicly displayed information is public
In some contexts using the service, information you share is visible to other users, either within your organization or outside your organization. We make reasonable efforts to make it clear when information is visible to anyone other than you.
Personally identifiable information you submit to one of these forums (such as GetSatisfaction, our customer feedback forum) can be read, collected, or used by other individuals beyond Oris4’s control. Oris4 is not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to share. For example, if you choose to make information, which was previously non-public, available by enabling certain user features, Oris4 will collect that information from your interaction and the information will become available, either within your organization or more broadly.
When we disclose your information
Oris4 takes your privacy very seriously. Oris4 does not sell or rent your contact information to other marketers. You control when your information is made available to others.
We may disclose your personal information without notice or consent if we are legally obligated to do so, such as in response to a court order or production order.
We have a zero tolerance policy for child exploitation and child pornography. If it comes to our attention that you are using the Oris4 service for such purposes, we reserve the right to provide the relevant information to law enforcement.
With our service providers, vendors, and strategic partners
There are also times when it may be advantageous for Oris4 to make certain personal information about you available to companies that Oris4 has a strategic relationship with or that perform work for Oris4 to provide products and services to you on our behalf. These companies are also obligated to protect your personal information in accordance with Oris4’s policies, except if we inform you otherwise at the time of collection.
How we protect your personal information
Oris4 takes precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
You can help us by also taking precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure web browser.
Integrity of your personal information
Oris4 has safeguards in place to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date for the purposes for which it is used. Naturally, you always have the right to access and correct the personal information you have provided. You can help us ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by checking your profile on your Oris4 home page under your profile picture at the top right of the page. And you can request a copy of your personal information by contacting us at the email address below.
Cookies and other technologies
You can disable cookies on your browser, but certain features of the Oris4 website may not be available or may not function as intended once cookies are disabled.
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Oris4 will not use the information collected to market directly to that person.
